The Lay out

              -Stocking stuffers-

*Genres of plenty tells you what kind of movie it is*

*Things that may bug you warned you of stuff that might make you wanna stay away, or at least be prepared*

*how much Christmas is the percentage of just how Christmasy the movie is a mid-level rating may just mean that the film happens at Christmas. A high rating leans towards Christmas being intricate to the plot or at the very least. It’s overall aesthetic.*

What’s in the box : Now you’re probably asking what What does Sugar Ray Leonard, a rollerblading murder gang, Disgruntled IRA terrorist, A missile launcher wielding Street gang, Gary Daniels, a softball gang, A couple of utterly incompetent latchkey kids, Patrick Kilpatrick, Chuck Napier, and the kidnapping of a diplomat’s daughter have to do with Christmas? Well… ummm.. Beats me, but I’m completely here for it.

What flavor:

I am completely honest about the fact that if you shove enough stuff into a movie That I Dig I will Enjoy said movie regardless of the quality of said movie. Riot manages to cram in a ton of stuff from the late 70s and early 80s I’m  really nostalgic about.. A ludicrous amount… like a critical mass of My cinematic youth… so much in fact that it could’ve been the worst movie ever, and I’d still enjoyed the experience, but it’s actually really good.

For those of you too Young, to have lived through the glory days of the video store shelf filling action imprint “PM entertainment“ you are in for a truly satisfying Archaeological cinematic expedition! I highly recommend making a list of the films and tracking them down. Fans of direct to video action will not be disappointed.

“PM entertainment” managed to make awesome action films full of B,C,D,Z list celebrities that were full of dangerous car stunts awesome gunplay, and Ridiculous heroes and they did it all for about $1.50 budget Per film. ThinkCannon films with about have to budget

The star of this flick,  Gary Daniels was essentially the Scott Adkins of his time, A truly, skilled martial art performer, very charismatic and handsome, but not able to break into higher budget fair. Sugar Ray Leonard was a hero of mine growing up and I’ve always thought he would have been an awesome action star… And I was wrong buddy is a serviceable sidekick, and what the heck who had Sugar Ray Leonard crashing a helicopter into a building on their Christmas movie bingo card!?!? the fact that it happens at Christmas is almost incidental But considering it has a healthy amount of die hard in its DNA the lights and tinsel is a nice touch that not many John McLean clones borrow from its source material. This movie is essentially a beat them up as our hero moves around the lockdown Los Angeles, fighting, colorful gang members.

can’t recommend this flick enough.
