This week Clive barkers thief of always

Mr. Hood's Holiday House has stood for a thousand years, welcoming countless children into its embrace. It is a place of miracles where every childhood whim may be satisfied. There is a price to be paid, of course, but young Harvey Swick, bored with his life and beguiled by Mr. Hood's wonders, does not stop to consider the consequences. It is only when the house shows its darker face—when Harvey discovers the pitiful creatures that dwell in its shadows—that he comes to doubt Mr. Hood's philanthropy.

But the house and its mysterious architect are not about to release their captive without a battle. Mr. Hood has ambitions for his new guest, for Harvey's soul burns brighter than any he has encountered in ten centuries . . “- - - from the back of Da book.

Clive barkers “the thief of always” is my favorite book of all time! The Christmas I received the original printing hard cover of This wondrous  tale of strings attached daily holidays the book caused me to lose mine, I Sat, alone in my room and read it the entirety of 12/25, only stopping to fill my plate and hydrate. Without the wonderful illustrations I probably would’ve finished it half the time, but I allow myself to breathe in every lone every curve, every dark character that Mr. Bakker Drew for me.

The book is absolutely beautiful. You can see the DNA of Harry Potter, and other young adult fair on every page of this literary tour de force!  in my humble opinion this is the book that kicked off a whole section of the library…. A giant chunk of the bookstore, yet, I know more people that hasn’t read this  then have, therefore, I am determined to make sure more people absorb this Proto subgenre creating brilliance!
