The Good… The Bad …and the Spooky 

The good

The concept is rad! Great opening!

I loved the 50’s setting! SLADE effectively! Halloween setting is xo on point ! It feels like Halloween! The cgi gore isn’t perfect but it’s pretty ok. SLADE recycled his 30 days of night shelter in place tricks to good use! 

The bad :

I don’t know If I can call it BAD . But I saw the twist ,, or at least the hint of it. The bait was laid to obviously. I may be hardwired difrent so I may be blowing it by even mentioning there is a twist but I saw the thread enough that it was distracting 

There are times the monsyter looked like a sprite Halloween prop

The end was a little jankey

The spooky 

Dread .. as the plot unfolds the truth is more scary then any thing supernatural

Best Scare:  sawtooth at the basement door

The Death Rattle:

It’s nice to see SLADE return to more subversive horror. Bander-maxallit was rad but this is were he lived, wile this isn’t as ugly and unflinching ad “hard candy” (the fantasy elements soften the edges) it dose have every thing that made  30 days so tenses. The monster sooo overpowers the folks  our teens survival seams hopeless.

Would I Buy it? Yea, Especially if a cool boutique label, put it out with a bunch of extras
