Song of the week: Ghosts Again by Depeche Mode
This song came out just when I needed it. My life ledger had amassed a great deal of of names in the loss column and i was having a hard time getting by and the things I should be feeling. I had shut down in the empathy department. I knew I should be hurt. I knew I should be riddled with all the emotions. Psych furs front man Richard Butler helped the iconic Depeche duo compose a song of loss born reunions and the comfort Inevitability and hugeness, the universe and the f the circle of life. Dave and Martian had just loss their friend and band mate fletch and went into the Recording of this song and album with emotional baggage and a mission stamens to drop it off at the tracks.
This song is beautifully tragic and soothingly uplifting
Wasted feelings
Broken meanings
Time is fleeting
See what it brings
Hellos, goodbyes, a thousand midnights
Lost in sleepless lullaby
Heaven's dreaming
Thoughtless thoughts, my friends
We know we'll be ghosts again
Sundays shining
Silver linings
Weightless hours
All my flowers
A place to hide the tears that you cried
Everybody says goodbye
Faith is sleeping
Lovers in the end
Whisper, "We'll be ghosts again"
Heaven's dreaming
Thoughtless thoughts, my friends
We know we'll be ghosts again
Faith is sleeping
Lovers in the end
Whisper, "We'll be ghosts again"
