NJPW G1 Climax 33 Blocks

 NJPW G1 Climax 33 Blocks

A Block

Shota Umino

Ren Narita

Yota Tsuji

Kaito Kiyomiya

SANADA

Hikuleo

Chase Owens

Gabe Kidd

A block looks like it’s the Young Guns block! There is not much chance that Kiyomiya is not gonna Be In the block Final Against Current champ Sanada…  Buuut Umino may be a Dark horse! I can’t imagine Kiyomiya I Noah athlete beating The NJPW world heavyweight champion, but I feel like the money quarterfinal match could be …

B Block

Tanga Loa

KENTA

YOSHI-HASHI

El Phantasmo

Kazuchika Okada

Great O-Khan

Taichi

 Will Ospreay

B Block is interesting. At face value it would appear that Okada is going to run away with it, but if Wiil stays healthy, he is more than just in the conversation. He has a very probable when I was this block. the Great O-Khan has been poised to move into a higher spot in the card. The money a versus big block semifinal is without a doubt Kiyomiya Vs Kazuchika Okada! nobody cares about another Okada Vs Sanda match . If not Kiyomiya then maybe we can hope for a strong block performance by Umino at the very least continuing their contentious storyline. At any rate, all roads seem to lead to the greatest Japanese wrestler of all time with him his block, but let’s not rule out the superstar  “who carried the company on his back during the pandemic”. Osprey has earned his spot by having to incredible match of the year or perhaps match the lifetime US title matches in 2023 wile I’m still planning on “ the rainmaker” it won’t hurt mine or probably anybody else’s “the aerial assassin” takes the block.

C Block

Tomohiro Ishii

David Finlay

Tama Tonga

EVIL

Shingo Takagi

Eddie Kingston

Mikey Nicholls

Aaron Henare

I love this block. This is the strong style block (with special appearances by Tama and Mikey) The King Can Lose Every Match and Still have awesome matches with everybody. I’m hoping someone hits Evil hard enough to put a little fighting spirit back in him or at least knock him out cold (either way I want him to get punched) I believe this is a shingo Block to lose but NJPW COULD BE OBLIGATED TO GIVE THEIR AMERICAN TV STAR VISITOR A BLOCK WINNING PERFORMANCE. While he’s seems to be heading toward retirement for dad positions if you were going to pull the trigger on Ishii it’s now or never. But maybe it’s all more obvious than that Finley has been getting the Bullet club leader push for a while now. He’s performed well in the last G one and the last two new Japan cups. But Shingo needs a Refresh and I believe and I’m hoping this is it.

D Block

Tetsuya Naito

 Jeff Cobb

Hiroshi Tanahashi

 Zack Sabre Jr

Shane Haste

Alex Coughlin

Hirooki Goto

Toru Yano

The first thing I want to say is the ace should not be in this. If his most recent performances are any indication very well or at least needs a vacation. They have booked it pretty well with the perennial night off. Yano and the wrestleing mid ring grappling of ZSJR. Tani and Goto could just stand mid ring.  But he still hast to have wrestling matches with G young guys and one of his longest rivals.

This block has a lot of weird moving parts In this block. We’ve already spoke about one legend of this block, but Naito has to stay healthy as well. I believe his stagnancy is 100% from stops and starts from injuries and there’s a lot of opportunity to get her over the course of this grueling tournament. It could be Cobb or ZSJR’s time. The Tv Champ is one of the people who consistently able to drag a exciting grappling match out of current champion Sanda. Like Ishii Goto needs to get off the pot or poop. Another year of a low to middling standing will make him not much more than another tournament, spot warmer. Cobb… the Hawaiian powerhouse is a very interesting picked to win the block. He’s consistently in a spot where I feel like it either way. Honestly I can’t fix this block. There’s too much white noise so I’m just gonna go with my favorite ZSJR!!!!
