(Streaming flick pick of the week is like book club! But.. umm with movies … and no reading… )

I really enjoyed this. It’s got the right amount of the conjuring and the right amount of Scooby Doo. The friendships are over the top in a Edgar Wright sort of way. The characters are social archetypes, but somehow in there clichés, they become real live endearing people. There’s a family dynamic in this that really resonated with me. These people love each other, but in another life in a normal life, they wouldn’t even come close to each others circles.

There is some very dark stuff that knocks the tone off the tracks a bit, but it also leads into some of the most  suspenseful scenes. 

There is stuff in the last reell that I found downright scary.
