Lucky 13: M3GAN

Lucky 13  is… Well 13 thoughts. 13 random disembodied out of context thoughts about any old media I run across

If any of these mad man’s mutterings make you watch or not watch subject of these ramblings you’re welcome and if they don’t… umm your welcome??

Lucky 13: M3GAN

1. Strong open. Snowy road, Twnse this type ofdangerous stuff is definitely a trigger for me. This is a rare case of something cliché I’ll predictable really working for

2. I’m down with the cast. Big fan of Allison Williams and Ronny Chieng should be in every movie. Williams is great at playing this sort of detached non-functioning human.  Trying to figure out people when she identifies more with the beauty and efficiency of machines.

3. I  think they may have telegraphed the ending at the 23 min mark*

4. Ugh Animal death Cheap heat5.

5. Everything that you expect to happen happens, but it happens way too smoothly. Fun slasher plot but some of contrivances are just contrived.

6.  This is definitely the next iteration of the ideas presented in”the child’s play” remake. Like that film was a rough draft for this one.

7.. We get a couple of old school slasher kills that are neutered by the PG-13 that said I think, and then Friday the 13th level Gorey would be too silly

I8. I appreciate what this film is trying to do. I love slashers that have something to say. Slashes, 8.and horrorin general can be a incredible metaphor Builder. But this film tackling a lot.. or trying to. Loss, addiction, attachment syndrome, Oppenheimer syndrome (I think that’s what it’s called) and that’s a lot for a PG-13 teen slasher. I guess you couldn’t blame it for not sticking the landing with such heavy cargo, but then again loaded the plane? the plane wich  crashed under the weight of its own lofty ideas

9. Nice Marteka reference/metaphor

10. I have to give credit to the acting/editing/special effects that is making a small robot girl seem so menacin

11.The killer Santa robot runs amok,  flick “Christmas bloody Christmas” gave an absurd concept and relished in the absurdity this is trying to get us to believe it’s preposterous trucks by moving so fast and straightfaced that it try’s cannot give you the opportunity to realize how farcical it is. Mileage of either missdirection technique will vary from viewer!

12. So Their doesn’t seam A huge amount of difference in the unrated and rated. Not enough to move my opinion in any direction

13. The end is fairly cool with a lot of references to everything from “Terminator” to “Hardware” driving home. This is more of a killer robot movie than a doll movie. It does really well and the showdown. This is a believable fight for the protagonist life not suspension of disbelief destroying struggle with her 14 inch and it’s small, Donald Trump like  hands

    * I was right about the ending at the 23 Min mark
