NJPW G1 Climax 32 Night 1: 7/16, Hokkaid; round one night 2

C Block: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Aaron Henare ***

Who I picked: Tanahashi

Who One: Aaron Henare

Aaron Henare: 1-0-0 Points 2

Hiroshi Tanahashi 0-0-1 Points 0

My score: 0/1

(what a big surprise! Henare looks like a star and The Ace did everything in his power to make him look like one. The story here was real fighters offense versus traditional pro wrestling with The united empires assassin wearing down the legend with strikes. Henare’s traditional finishing submissioner the full Nelson looked really convincing, super believable! The New Zealander has transformed what has become basically a rest hold to a legit finisher. I was so surprised when this match finished that I had to rewind it)

D Block: Will Ospreay vs. El Phantasmo ****1/2

Who I picked Will Ospreay

Who won: Will Ospreay

Will Ospreay 1-0-0 Points 2

Phantasmo: 0-0-1 points 0

My wscore: 1-1

(this is great these guys are great. You should check this out. Will Ospreay is the wrestler that every young young wrestler  it will be Imitating in five years. He’s taking everything we loved about the American Dragon, low-Ki and the amazing red and transformed into one perfect pro wrestling package)

B Block: SANADA vs. Jay White  ****

Who I picked : SANADA

Who won: Jay White

White: 1–0-0: 2

SANADA: 0–0-1 : 0

My score 1-2

(how long until SANADA is Yoshi Hase? This was exactly what you thought it would be)

A Block: Kazuchika Okada vs. Jeff Cobb Cobb ****1/2

Who I Picked: Jeff Cobb

Who won: Kazuchika Okada

Kazuchika Okada: 1-0-0 Points: 4

Jeff Cobb: 0-0-1 Points: 0

My Score: 1-3

(Jc is a special athlete. Okada is The only Active wrestler who may knock the American dragon off the throne that Reads “GOAT”. This was a very good match these guys have a great chemistry. As far as pics go I am very bad at this!)

Best Match : (Tie) Will Ospreay vs. El Phantasmo ****1/2

: Kazuchika Okada vs. Jeff Cobb Cobb

(I really tried to pick here but each one had some thing the other one didn’t. Phantasmo versus Osprey was just what I’m looking for in modern Japanese pro wrestling. The rainmaker Vs Cobb was great but building upon this rivalry there was a drama that the highflyers didn’t have. Because the differences are apples and Oranges I am going to stay with a tie)

7/17, Hokkaido ; Round 1 Night 2

B Block: Tomohiro Ishii vs. Taichi ****

(exactly what you expect from these two! That’s not a bad thing I enjoyed this match and I will probably enjoy the next time they do it if it’s the same type of match. What is it you guys to definitely cement  that new Japan needs more heavy weight talent.)

Taichi: 1-0-0: 1

Tomohiro Ishii: 0-0-1 : 0

C Block: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. KENTA ****1/4

Who I picked : Zackt Sabre

Who won: Zack Sabre

Zack Sabre 1-0-0: 2

KENTA 0-0-1 :0

My score: 3-4

D Block : Juice Robinson Vs. Shingo Takagi ***1/4

(I’m not sure yet if I like this juice Robinson anymore than I liked old juice. I love shingo but I’m not gonna complain about someone you even if it’s not a new person in just a new personality in the shuffle. I was hoping this would be amazing but definitely fell short of that. Not a bad match by any stretch)

Who I picked: Juice Robinson

Who won: Juice Robinson

Juice Robinson 1-0-0: 2

Shingo Takagi 0-0-1 : 0

4-4
