THOR and the love and thunder trailer

 Thor and the love and thunder trailer! 

I was just telling wolfie, that I wasn’t especially excited about this until I saw what storyline they were doing. While the real story and marvels hamhanded handling of The characters transitions will be a Unequivocally and unbreakably linked.  The afterbirth of that mistake left us with a really great character.

My relationship with the character of Jane Foster is directly linked to my relationship with cancer and the terrible three year. My ex-wife and I traveled together through.

My relationship with the god of thunder has always been on a writer to writer basis. While I like fantasy stuff the weird science fiction mythology universe of marvels Asgard never really did anything for me. Being Way far out of my character comfort zone of street level characters the big blind goof was always just a member of the avengers to me and not my favorite. The MCU version has made him a little more tolerable and intern made his modern handling more interesting to me. 

I don’t dig on He’s weird or Arthurian by way of Shakespeare dialogue. I’m not crazy about his get up.  I like all of his supporting cast more than him.  and power level wise he’s basically just another super strong Clark Kent Man out of world story that’s just not my jam.

But Jane Foster who in her original iteration was nothing more than a Lois Lane pastiche has really come into her own.

Not just having God like power there are a lot of boring gods and funny book and mythology. No… it’s the story of a character who was dying but in getting great power was given a second lease on life but only as long as she wielded the power. She traded her life for her life. To survive she no longer got to be who she was and instead is now a powerful Valkyrie shouldering all the responsibilities and enemies are newfound power comes with.

I’m also a giant fan of this director and everything he’s done so far. Before he took over the franchise Hemsworth in sorehead definitely outweighed his OneNote welcome.

So anyway I’m going to now watch the trailer and give you my thoughts on it!

WElp

it looks like a Marvel movie.

It looks fun. It looks funny.

And  Taika Waititi has yet let me Down… but like all these flicks looks like 9 movies jammed into one Pushing a already outlandish runtime to its overwrought runtime. 

For me this trailer does what thease do. They have thease things down to a mathematic equation.

Do I think it looks bad. Nope. It loooks like what it is, there is no doubt it’s going to be better then it looks.

but the trailer didn’t bring me any more exited then I was before.
