(this match was fine but disappointing considering who was in it. Maybe it was walked down by its own storytelling maybe it was an off night. I guess it could even be it’s spot on the show, but I was looking forward to this in it was disappointing)

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title Match

Six Or Nine (Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi) (c) vs. Suzuki-gun (DOUKI & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) **1/2

(i’m definitely tired of these sort of shenanigans and the sort of throwaway tag title matches.)

IWGP Tag Team Title Three Way Match

United Empire (Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb) (c) vs. Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) vs. BULLET CLUB (Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens) ***3/4

(There is an argument to be made that this could’ve been a classic but as far as my expectations go it definitely over performed. Chase Owens has been really rising to the occasion since the G1. Bishamon Are on their worst day solid on their best capable of great matches. O-Khan & Cobb are awesome champions. This could’ve been incredible but my expectations in new Japan MultiMan style mid card matches are pretty rigid, so as it was this was a nice surprise. I’m a bit disappointed in the finish But otherwise I enjoyed it)

NEVER Openweight Title Match

EVIL (c) vs. Tama Tonga **3/4

(perfectly serviceible WWE style main event match)

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match

El Desperado (c) vs. Taiji Ishimori ***1/2

(It would seem that the junior heavyweight title matches of today or slower paced submission based matches. I dug this)

IWGP United States Heavyweight Title Match (vakant)

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Tomohiro Ishii ****1/2

(Watch this match)

IWGP World Heavyweight Title Match

Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Tetsuya Naito ***1/2

(at this point these two are literally competing against their other great matches. Some people might dig this but I actually had a hard time getting through it the pace was just too methodical. After etching out some time to watch it all the way through it was a really good match but be warned it is slow)

Lots of cool surprises and stuff definitely worth checking out
